The confidential telephone service allows callers to remain anonymous while receiving assistance and answers to non-emergency questions about local health and social service resources, including parenting support services.

SLO Hotline @ 1.800.549.4499 is an emotional and mental health support, resource and referral, crisis intervention and suicide prevention phone line serving San Luis Obispo County. It is also the line for the SLOtheStigma campaign. It is confidential, free of charge, and is answered by well trained volunteers 24 hours every day. SLO Hotline is a program of Transitions-Mental Health Association, a community-based nonprofit.

Anger Management Flyer
Join us for a 12-week course designed to help you learn to manage anger. Learn strategies to reduce anger once it flares. Increase awareness of the role that anger plays in your life. Identify trigger thoughts and learn early warning signs. Learn what happens in your brain and body when you experience anger.

ELIGIBILITY: This course is taught by a certified Anger Management Specialist and meets the requirements for those who are court mandated to attend a course. Participants must be at least 18 years old in order to attend.

An outpatient drug and alcohol treatment program, designed for youth ages 12-18 and their families, is available through SLO Drug and Alcohol Services. In the Youth and Family Program, families can participate in 4- 6 hours of treatment per week; this  includes: group counseling, family counseling, drug education, parenting education, and multi-family sessions. Evening hours are available.

San Luis Obispo County Drug and Alcohol Services offers POEG, Perinatal Outpatient Extended Group, a treatment program for addicted women who are pregnant and/or have young children. The therapy group helps women with recovery, parenting skills, relationships and other issues.

Our vision for Parent Partners is to help families to build their strengths and utilize their resources. We are parents who have been in your situation, who want to offer our experience, provide ongoing support, share our knowledge, and connect you with community resources. A Parent Partner is available at no cost to any parent involved with San Luis Obispo County Child Welfare Services.
