The heartache of loss and the burden of serious illness is often eased by participation in a caring, supportive environment and the opportunity to join in sharing with others. All groups are facilitated by trained Hospice of SLO County leaders. Exchanging coping information and expressing the feelings that comes in anticipating or coping with a death or illness helps in promoting healing. Hospice of San Luis Obispo County offers the following support group meetings free of charge to interested community members. Note: please arrive 10 minutes early if it’s your first meeting.

  • General Bereavement Support Group :  Tuesdays, 6:00pm - 7:30pm
  • Spouse/Partner Loss Support Group :  Thursdays, 11:30am – 1:00pm
  • Survivors of Suicide (for those left behind): Wednesdays, 5:30pm – 7:00pm
